Dulce et Decorum Est

This project was born from the simple aim of trying to make poetry more interesting, relevant and accessible.

Poetry is an oral tradition with strong roots in Scottish culture. Oral traditions like poetry and storytelling have suffered from developments in technology such as television and computer games.

In this project pupils were able to use their powers of imagination and understanding to paint a picture of the poem, a picture of sounds created on their computer, through the power of radio drama.

This project is a perfect example of the type of work under development in The Learning Centre. It is an example of the imaginative and appropriate use of ICT in the classroom.
