Lensheads V
LensHeads: The North Lanarkshire Film School offers 15 to 18 year olds a great chance to learn the skills needed to become the next wave of Scottish filmmakers.
Learn the basics of digital film making in a fun, team-oriented atmosphere. Get loads of hands-on training. Challenge yourself with new skills. Put your imagination to the test. Get behind the lens and learn the entire process of film making from idea to script to screen. Write, shoot, edit, and screen a digital film that you can be proud of.
Get this -- NO experience is necessary. If you’re interested in making films but haven’t had a chance to give it go yet, this course is for you. All you require is commitment, determination, imagination, and a desire to work with others in a fun, creative environment.
LensHeads starts at the beginning of November 2007 and runs for 15 evening sessions from 6.30pm to 9.00pm over 4 months. The class meets one evening a week with two one-day shoots on weekends after Christmas. There are No tuition costs.
At the beginning of the course successful applicants will be invited with their families to The Learning Centre, Bellshill to be introduced to staff, the filming equipment and the state of the art editing facilities. At the end of the course, you will have a chance to invite friends and family to the premiere screening.
